Puglia is a very beautiful land, one of my preferred regions in Italy. Local people are very social , friendly and gentle. Here in Turin, i have a lot of friends from that region. I have visited different parts in more years and I can't describe with the pictures it's amazing coast and beaches, you absolutely need to visit them once in your life.
The food and drinks in Puglia are very delicious. Home-made products are very widespread, mostly the homemade pasta, olive oil and wine.

The coastal watchtowers in Puglia are arranged along all the coast in Salento. The remaining towers are mostly from the 15th and 16th centuries.
I met many old cars in Puglia, which are well kept and still in use.
I really enjoyed to watch the sunsets on the desert and rocky coasts of Salento.
At the area of Salento in Puglia, there are many rocky shores with the fortifications and the remains of past wars.
I saw also some animals, mostly underwater life. This snail is not a really good example of the wild life :)
In Puglia you can meet different buildings, very simple architecture and also the real architectural masterpieces.
In smaller villages of Puglia transport and water supply is done by trucks.
The coasts of Puglia are very vast, there are rocks and also beaches with very fine sand. In my opinion there are the most beautiful beaches in Europe, or at least in Italy.
Certain cities in Puglia are very small so the habitants don’t really need a car, a bike is just fine.
Fireworks on the beach in the night of the feast of San Lorenzo. Tradition says to bathe in the sea at midnight.
The plantations of olive trees are many widespread in Puglia and their olive oil is yummy! There are many centuries-old olive trees. Sometimes there are strange shapes, and you can see human or animal forms, it depends on your imagination :)
The best way to get to Lecce is by train, there are high-speed trains which are very efficient.
I was in Lecce several times but I especially like it before Christmas, the decorations in the city are very nice in my opinion.
