On the Internet Dzerzhinsk is described as a very polluted city and one of the places on the planet “not to visit.” I go there often and I also visited the surrounding areas that are beautiful and natural. Certainly it is an industrial town and there is a strong post Soviet sign. A good mix of urban-industrial decay and untouched nature.
